SKI THE ARLBERG IN AUSTRIA

THE ART OF ALPINE LIVING
In Lech, luxury is never excessive.
It is found in perfectly groomed slopes before first light, evenings by the fire after snowfall, and the quiet confidence of a place that has remained timeless while the world around it changed.
WHEN TO VISIT
Winter
From December to March, Lech becomes one of Europe’s most refined winter destinations. Fresh snow covers the Arlberg peaks, creating exceptional skiing conditions across a landscape of remarkable beauty.
This is when chalet living reveals its true appeal — mornings on perfectly groomed slopes, afternoons in the spa, and evenings by the fire surrounded by snow-covered mountains.
Spring
Spring brings a quieter rhythm to Lech. While the village softens into longer days and warmer light, the higher slopes often remain open, offering a more private experience on the mountain.
It is a season defined by space, calm and understated elegance.
Summer
From July to September, Lech transforms into an alpine retreat of a different kind. Wildflower meadows, mountain trails and crisp alpine air replace the winter snow, while the village settles into a peaceful summer atmosphere.
Ideal for hiking, wellness and slow mountain living, summer in Lech offers a rare sense of tranquillity in the heart of the Alps.
HOW TO GET THERE
By air
Lech is easily reached from several international airports, including Innsbruck and Zurich, both offering year-round access to the Austrian Alps.
Private chauffeur transfers can be arranged directly to your chalet, ensuring a smooth and comfortable arrival from the moment you land.
By rail or road
Travelling through the Alps by train offers one of the most scenic ways to reach Lech. Connections via Innsbruck and St. Anton am Arlberg provide easy access to the resort throughout the season.
For complete comfort and discretion, private transfers can be arranged for the final part of your journey.
THEY DISCOVERED OUR COLLECTION
From the very first morning on the Arlberg, everything seemed to fall into place naturally. Skiing all day, long lunches in the mountains, then returning to the chalet as the fire was lit and the spa quietly waiting.
What makes Lech so special is the balance it offers. The energy of the slopes, the elegance of the village, and then the calm of returning to complete privacy at the end of the day.
There was no schedule to follow. We skied until the light faded, stopped when we felt like it, and let the rhythm of the mountains shape the days entirely.
What stayed with us most was the atmosphere inside the chalet. Warm, silent, intimate — a place where everyone could move at their own pace while still sharing the same experience together.
Three generations travelled together, and somehow the chalet suited each of us perfectly. Some spent the mornings skiing, others reading by the fire or enjoying the spa, but the feeling of being together was always there.
We have stayed in many alpine resorts over the years, yet Lech feels different. More discreet, more authentic, and effortlessly refined in a way few destinations still are.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Chalets in our Austrian collection are selected through a highly curated process that focuses on location, privacy, architecture and the overall quality of the alpine experience.
We work exclusively with properties located in Austria’s most prestigious ski regions, including the Arlberg, Kitzbühel Alps and select high-end resorts known for exceptional skiing and refined mountain living.
Each chalet is evaluated not only for its design and comfort, but for its ability to deliver a seamless alpine stay — whether that means direct access to world-class ski terrain, panoramic mountain views, or a secluded setting surrounded by nature.
We also place strong emphasis on the experience within the property itself: private wellness areas, generous living spaces, high-quality materials and discreet service capabilities such as concierge support or private catering.
Rather than building a large catalogue, we take a selective approach. Every chalet is chosen because it offers something distinctive — a sense of place, privacy and understated luxury that defines the best of Austrian alpine living.
The main ski season typically runs from December to March, with January and February offering the most reliable snow conditions.
March is particularly popular for longer sunny days and quieter slopes, while the Christmas and New Year period remains one of the most exclusive times to experience the Austrian Alps.
Absolutely. Many chalets are designed specifically for families and multi-generational stays, offering large living areas, multiple bedroom suites, private cinemas, indoor pools and tailored concierge services.
Private chefs, childcare arrangements and ski instructors can also be organised upon request.
Most luxury ski resorts in Austria are accessible from Innsbruck or Zurich airports.
Approximate transfer times:
– Lech am Arlberg: 2–2.5 hours
– St. Anton: 1.5–2 hours
– Kitzbühel: 1.5 hours from Salzburg or Innsbruck
Private chauffeur transfers are commonly arranged for guests.
The Arlberg is Austria’s largest interconnected ski area and one of the most prestigious in the Alps.
It combines exceptional snow reliability, extensive terrain, elegant villages and a long-standing alpine heritage that attracts an international luxury clientele each winter.
For peak winter dates — especially Christmas, New Year and February school holidays — booking 6 to 12 months in advance is highly recommended.
The most exclusive chalets in Lech and the Arlberg are often reserved well ahead of the season.
